Truck Week - Stone Delivery: Salisbury Square to North Jetty

Over the course of the summer, I got video footage of the various flatbed trucks transporting the multi-ton stones to the north jetty construction site. The videos were taken at different locations along the route from Salisbury Square  to to beach staging area. I tried to get various landmarks in some of videos to denote the location. The video below is compilation of different video clips and different trucks. I have put them together in sequence to show the travel route. As you can see from the video much of the trucking took place during the busy summer beach season. The clip of the truck coming through the gate area shows one panicked person running to moving their car as the truck arrives. It turns out the truck had plenty of room to maneuver around the parked cars. The truck drivers were very conscientious and professional. They handle the cars, bicyclists, and people walking around with ease and safety. Most of the deliveries occurred during the morning hours to avoid the traffic backups especially during the hot weeks.

Most of the trucks went around the gatehouse building. On this occasion one went through the center gateway.
