The crew decided to move the partially finished large excavator on to a heavy timbered platform to protect the parking lot pavement from damage.The timber platform was a section left over from the construction of a roadway across the sand to give the tractors access to the beach. The smaller excavator was used to lift and move the front arm into position so it could be attached to the large excavator.
CAT 390F excavator is moved on a timber platform to protect the pavement.
The smaller CAT 349E was used to lift the arm and move it into position.

The hydraulic piston has been attached and the pin is pulled out ready for the final connection.
The front arm is ready to go.
